Will you be releasing an update?

Is it possible to specify Microsoft Update Preferences in this addon? Like, Enabling Beta Release updates.

Sorry for the multiple posts smile

Probably, try setting the options you want and then use your own DataStore.edb.

Re: Microsoft Update Engine v7.4.7600.226

It`s not being offered in the usual way:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library … FilterText

or through windows update either..

So does everyone still want this "beta" version?

The update agent is in no shape or form a "beta". It's an official release. Why it is not pushed through WU - who knows? MS pushed the official SP3 on WU two months after its release.

It looks like windows update files are really the only ones updated, but yeah I'd love an updated addon smile

The XML file points to an older link, lol. This is the latest official WU client.

It`s not being officially offered therefore it`s a beta.

Yeah, that`s my point.

Not be a pedant, but that does not define a beta. wink

And it *is* being officially offered by ms: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932494

And the "official" page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946928/

Considering it beta based on the fact it`s not been released, is not being pedantic wink

The point is to protect users systems.

Post proof that it`s not beta and it is being offered by MS. I can`t just release it if I`m unsure of it`s status.
