Is there anyway to edit the Global Privacy settings on install/through a REG patch, etc.
It's the evil Flash Cookie (that nobody seems to know about) that we are targeting here. It is a HUGE invasion of privacy.
Since when you clear all cookies/history and you think you've gotten rid of them, you don't realize that there is a Flash Cookie (FLashLocal Shared Object) that persists, and as soon as you hit a site, it uses that cookie to re-create the cookies you deleted. So your still tracked.
I have NO idea why this isn't making front page on every security blog (been used widespread in the wild for about 5-6 months now).
But you have to head to adobe's site to open the options window. then select "don't allow 3rd party to store content, etc.".
Anyone look into how to automatically set these settings?
(Don't allow any content stored, deny all sites, NEVER ask again, don't check for update, deny everything. Size storage 0.)
Thanks!

This may not be the place to discuss this, but I ran process monitor while editing the settings EEguru talked about.
And it basically didn't touch the registry. All it did was edit this file:
%APPDATA%\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys\settings.sol
The site-specific stuff seems to be stored in that folder too.
So it will probably not be that easy to include any settings into the addon pack.

Actually it would be very easy, just edit the settings you want and have the addon copy your custom settings.sol.
Thing is I wouldn`t want to force one persons preferences on everyone.

The new Flash addon does not seem to work with XP SP3.
The following files are placed in Windows\system32\en:
Flash9f.ocx
install.log
uninstall_activeX.exe
I used nLite-1.4.5.beta2 to integrate this addon on Win XP Pro SP2 with SP3 (5512) slipstreamed. This was the only addon I used.
I realize this could be a problem with nlite but I figured I would ask here first.

I think I see the problem.
In the [WinntDirectories] section of the TSTSETUP.SIF file 243 is used twice.
243 = system32\en
243 = system32\Macromed\Flash
