Hi xAble,
Nothing particularly wrong with punbb and I never wanted to flame because of it or anything.
I just find that there are other php forum scripts out there with more features and with better skinning capabilities, that's all .
But I'm sure that punbb will pull the job perfectly.
Actually I was asking for Filemon and Regmon to be both replaced by Processmon which is also a wonderful tool by Mark Russinovich's sysinternals.
I'd even ask you to add some more tools by him but that would make the addon a little bigger.
Just browse to his site when you find some free time and take a look at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysint ? index.mspx .
I'm sure you'll find some more goodies to add to your sysinternals addon if you find it suitable to grow your addon.
Cheers

I never thought you were haveing a go just don`t agree other forum software can do the job better. As for skinning, just because there is no template system doesn`t mean your limited in flexibility, quite the opposite in fact. Due to the strict xhtml markup, lack of tables and images for display you can dramaticaly alter the look of the site with just CSS. For a complete face transplant you can just edit the source files instead of the template files.
So what features do you miss exactly? The reason I like punbb so much is it has only the basic forum features out of the box, resulting in a fast clean script. For any extra functionality you may want there are plugins or modifications which can be easily added.
As for the sysinternals addon, I`ve been meaning to do a rebuild of it for some time. My thoughts have been to make an individual addon for each of the 66 tools so one could pick and choose, maybe make an all-in-one addon too for anyone wanting the lot.

Ok, let's forget about the board script.
We're here to talk about your great addon packs .
I liked the idea of an all-in-one addon and a pick one-by-one addon.
But we've got to face it, there are just too many sysinternals tools lol.
I'd go with a single sysinternals addon maker where you'd ask if we want to pick the tools that we like most or if we'd rather go with the full pack.
What do you think?
I think that maintaining such a huge addon is a big headache.
I say that the best approach would be to make the addon pack in a way that it would download all the tools first.
That way it would always be up to date unless if Mark Russinovich would launch a new tool, not a new update.
What do you think?

Well actually your in the welcome thread for the new site so we should be talking about that in this topic.. and talking about addons in their respective support threads. But I`ve let it slide this once.

Good that`s probably what I going to do.

There are a lot of them yes (66 to be exact) individually they are simple addons to make. It will take a long time to make all of them though.

That would be the ideal approach but, and it`s a big but, through my experience from doing that with winrar and unlocker, it would take a hell of a lot more time to not only make but also maintain such an application. Which is why I`ve not considered that approach for now. maybe if I get a lot of spair time in the future it could happen, but not ATM.

Not really, all updates to sysinternals tools are posted on their blog which has an RSS feed. Plus the individual addons themselves are simple, as long as they all don`t need updateing every other day it wouldn`t be too much of a headache.

Like I say, given more time in the future that is the ideal route but it requires a lot of time both initially and ongoing so don`t hold you breath.

An individuall selection plus an all-in-one approach is the best all round I think.

Just wanted to peek out of obscurity and say Hi Xable. Thanks for all the time and hard work you put into this. I wish I had the means to donate. Still dealing with disability and living on oatmeal twice a day. Uncle Sam is paying the rent, so I can't complain.

Hello there and thanks for putting things in place.
I am finally getting around to putting some energy into slipstreaming my life with Windows. I am a noob at this part of the equation so I am willing to sound [be] dumb. So here goes.
I slipstreamed XP pro and SP2, now I want the 80-odd little buggery Hotfixes in there as well. If I DL your post-SP2 Xp patch, and perhaps some mothers, how do I then slipstream that DL into my project so that I get the patches in place easily. Can it be done in a batch, or do I have to play with each and every little buggery Hotfix????
I am stuck at that point, and I am certain there is a simple solution. I read the posts, but I may have missed something. I am using nlite.
Thanks,
