Hello everyone,
I discovered your site and your great work! Congratulations!
I would like to translate your pack in French. I am not an expert but I'm curious and I learn fast ...
In first, to understand, I compared the original package and the Italian pack.
My question is about the "entries.ini" file :
What are "[obsolete_files]" section and "[ExtraFileEdits]" section ?
Why they are empty in the Italian pack ?
Thank you for your answers

I found the answer :
[obsolete_files] => "The obsolete section is designed for updating an existing update pack or svcpack-installer. You can use this section to remove old files and old entries.
This section tells the integrator to remove any entries in the svcpack.inf file that pertain to this file with an extension of ".exe" or ".cat", and remove any files with this name from the svcpack directory."
[ExtraFileEdits] => clear in "Svcpack.inf" deleted entries in "[obsolete_files]"
So if there is no directory "svcpack" in install directory "i386", we can leave this section empty.
Do you agree ?

Hi Csaki,
Files listed under the directive [obsolete_files] are removed from the CD.
The [ExtraFileEdits] directive allows you to edit text files on the CD.
To remove the text "KB923561.CAT" from the file "svcpack.inf" you would use
[ExtraFileEdits]
svcpack.inf|KB923561.CAT||0
You can find more info on the directives entries.ini supports here.

In the Italian pack I've chose to not included those sections for two reasons: the main one is that the update for DST is renamed as tzoneupd.exe, so there is no need to remove references to previous versions. Also, I don't release the pack with monthly schedule, so I don't need to do a selection of the obsolete catalogue file.

Hi, Thank you to you for those answers.
Now I'll attack the "XUDPack.inf" file, the longest and most hard...
See you soon!
