I "inherited" the job of slipstreaming Windows XP SP3 images.
The person was fired and didn't leave good documentation, so I'm trying to fill in the cracks of what he was doing.
I have nLite. Check.
I have a fresh copy of Windows XP SP3. Check.
I need to incorporate a number of tweaks, components, etc. Check.
I need to incorporate WMP 11. Check.
I need to incorporate Windows XP SP3 post-patches. NOT Check.
HELP!
The problem I have was attempting to follow the previous guy's info of going to Windows Update catalog and download patches (in some kind of phase) and add those to nLite. Didn't work.
I found Ryan'sVM and saw what appeared to be what I needed, but it appears to be outdated.
I found this site referenced for update packs. Possibly the thing I need.
What I'm hoping for is to incorporate:
A). WMP 11 and post-patches - this seems to work.
B). DotNet something.
C). IE 7 and post-patches.
D). Do not require IE 8.
My questions, to which I hope you can answer.
1). Does your update pack contain IE 7? If not, do you know what KB would supply that?
2). Do I need to apply this update pack on a 2nd run of nLite, after running nLite incorporating tweaks, components, etc.?
The reason I ask is that I don't seem to get all the MS Post-SP3 patches incorporated in the slipstream process.
Thank you for your time.

Thank you xable and simexi for your assistance.
Simexi - I'm going to revisit the DotNet piece since that started to install on my local workstation instead of slipstreaming in. I'll have to do some more reading.

It will produce output folder and the exe in it. And you can integrate it with Nlite.
