Hi Xable, and thank you for the reply. I started with a plain Windows XP and I integrated SP3 into it with command like I usually do. After I did that I used the Windows XP SP3 files to slipstream your service pack. I would of thought Nlite would of given me some error message if it was not able to do it. Anyway, this is now installed on this system, but what would you recommend I do in order to get all the updates into an installation disc and what are some of the things I should look for just in case it does the same thing again? I have 3 other computers here and I also look after a lot of friends computers and it's so much easier to have a slipstreamed disc with all the updates.
Thank you very much for your time...Have a great day!

Sounds like you did everything right so all I can say is try again and test in a virtual machine like VMWare.
Failing that post your Last Session.ini file from nLites Presets folder and I'll try to reproduce it.

Hi,
1. Using nLite (ver 1.4.9.1), slipstreamed Win XP Pro SP3 CD with xable's Update v1.0.30 and created a bootable CD.
2. Booted with this CD creates a message on a blue DOS screen:
-----------
Please insert the disk labeled
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 CD
into Drive A:
* Press ENTER when ready.
------------
Please help as I am stuck with my laptop in the middle.
This laptop doesn't even have an A: drive. Besides, the SP3 was already part of the original XP CD that was slip streamed with Xable's update so why this prompt?
I did some customizations on the nLite but nothing major (all cosmetic stuff). Also, the original Win XP SP3 CD boots fine; it is only after the slip streaming that something got messed up.
Thanks much for your help and software!
Regards.

That message pops up when you select to go into the recovery console or install third party drivers at the start of setup by either pressing F3 or F6 I forget which. Make sure your not doing that.
As always slipstream my pack with no customizations and test, if it works you can then rule out my pack and look at the customizations you did.
Also SATA drivers will need to be slipstreamed if your using a SATA hard drive, that may explain the message.

Tried it with no customization (just the orig SP3 + your updates) but it still gives the same error!
Also, I tried the slip-streamed CD on 3 other laptops (total of 4) and all show the same message.
It could not be due to the SATA driver since the orig SP3 disc boots and installs fine.
Neither is the F6 (3rd party RAID drivers) enabled -- it was left to default state in nLite.
Any other ideas?
Thanks for your time again.

If it's an OEM cd they could be slipstreamed already, then somehow disabled when running it through nLite.

Can you try it on a desktop and VMWare?
Also paste the contents of your last_session.ini file from nLites presets folder.

Hey! I simply deleted the "Preset" directory and "nlite.init" file in the nLite installation folder and bingo!
Now both work - no customization and my previous customizations (with your update).
Possible cause? The first time I had used nLite, I had manually added all the updates after SP3 (was not using your update). That caused some updates to not get installed (nLite complained in a dialog box and removed them). This may have screwed up some nLite config internally (i.e. a bug). Deleting the ini files may have cleaned up everything.
Thanks for your software and help! You are great that you are maintaining this website, providing this update, and supporting people on your own time.
God bless you and best regards

Glad you got it sorted, I've not seen anything like that before and I use nLite a lot.

Now there's something I don't get to hear very often on here, unfortunately. Thanks and good luck with your future installs.
