Hi xable, just a question if don't mind plz. The xpsp3 updates of yours and Ryanvm's ones have a lot of difference, my question is that is it possible to combine or add both packs in slipstreaming or your pack covers everything.
Thank you

Hi xp1,
Because of the way update packs work, it's not possible to use two different packs simultaneously without problems.
As far as I know Ryan stoppped updating his pack, so if you use his you'll have to manually download the updates released since his last update and add them with nLite.
My pack is up-to-date and includes all the updates on windows update accept the optional ones, IE8 and WGA, which is available as an addon instead.

You don't need to extract it, you use nLite to add it to your CD. A guide is linked from the download page.
Because your on SP2 you'll need the SP3 Service Pack aswell as my SP3 update pack.

Ei bro.. Your update pack is great! All hotfixes are there.. Im curious why is your update pack has a small size? Its diffirent from other update packs.. Btw, why dont u make adds on of IE7, IE8, WMP11, NET FRAMEWORK 3.5 SP1, DX9, WIN INSTALLER 4.5, WIN SEARCH & all there updates & hotfixes? To make it totally complete.. Thanks anyway! Keep up the good work!:-)

Like you say it's different from other packs, so it has a different size. My pack includes the basics then you can add the optionaly stuff as you like.
I don't have time to make all the other stuff, this site doesn't pay for itself let alone my living expenses.

Hi, I'm new here and not sure If I'm asking this at the right place. Anyway, I d/l the April update pack for Windows XP which I slipstreamed with Nlite. I've done that many times before but never with your update pack. Anyway, to make a long story short, I had 79 updates once I was done installing Windows....is that normal?....Anytime in the past when I've slipstreamed an update pack there might of been a couple of updates and that is it...Am I doing something wrong or missing something?....Nlite did not report any errors and my install did not have any errors either....
Thanks in advance

Hi yelostand, that sounds like the pack wasn't integrated at all. Did you start with a clean source?
