Keep up the good work !! I sure appreciate your time and effort as I just stumbled on to your site today. Lot's of good stuff here. Am wondering if you are working on creating Addons for Internet Explorer 8's "Critical" Security Updates, specifically KB980182, as I have everything Slipstreamed/Integrated except that and Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool.

Being that there has been 50+ views of this post and no reply/response, I have decided to get my own education on creating "Add-On Packs".
How can I upload my Add-On? "Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP (KB980182)" Worked flawlessly in nLite.
In all honesty, it was quite simple, just had to find out what "switches" to use.

Your not slipstreaming that by making a switchless installer. It's a bit harder to make an addon which slipstreams.
Your in luck though because nLite can slipstream it for you. Just select the direct integration option in nLite and add the 980182 update to the list.
btw. The pageviews may just be bots, like google.

I went Start / Run, then typed E:\IE8-WindowsXP-KB980182-x86-ENU.exe /? and got what switches can be used...
Then I used "VirtualTek's Add-On Maker v2.1.14.2009", using the /quiet /passive /norestart /overwriteoem /nobackup switches. It created a svcpack folder with an .inf file...

[AddProgram]
KB980182.exe
then I just inserted the Add-on by clicking the .inf file. It integrated just fine and it is in the final Install Setup CD and is NOT showing up in Windows Update as a Critical Update.
Are you saying it's not really installed ?

No, I'm saying that you can just add IE8-WindowsXP-KB980182-x86-ENU.exe to nLite without haveing to make a switchless installer addon.

I've tried that several times with NO success.
1. Started with Original Source XP Pro NO Service Pack (2001)
2. Integrated Service Pack 3 with WinFuture xp-Iso-Builder v3.0.7
3. Integrated Windows Media Player 11 with Windows Media Player 11 Slipstreamer v1.4.2.0
4. Used nLite v1.49.1 to "insert" 70+ Critical Updates. OnePiece's IE8 Add-On Pack PLUS your 3 Addon-Packs for Windows Update Engine, WGA & WGAN, which work great, THANKS !!
5. nLite will not integrate/slipstream KB980182 (as-is),if it's "insereted" to the HotFix list. It only worked after creating an Add-On pack out of it.

It's probably a good idea to add WMP after updates/UDP/addons..
Did you select the select the "direct integration option" as I mentioned above? If so uncheck it, nLite will then do the same as that addon, I tested with 980182 to confirm it works and it does.
Also nLite can slipstream SP3 for you aswell.

If Windows Media Player is integrated "after" hotfixes, updates & addons there will be more critical updates that need to be installed, that's why I slipstream/integrate it "before" using nLite.
I have created an install CD that has SP3, WMP11, IE8 & and "ALL" (except kb890830), critical updates through 04-12-2010, much thanks to you however, I need some help and or direction as to how to create an Add-On for Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool (KB890830), can you please direct me ?
