Strang all I did was recompile it as you did. I'm no autoit expert but I guess some language specific controls changed in windows which is why re-compiling with the latest autoit fixed it.
I will re-compile each month now to keep it inline with any functionality changes, that should prevent this from happening again. Thanks for your help simexi.
btw, just to be clear it still stands that you should use nLite and only nLite to slipstream my pack and any translations. Using anything else will mean you'll be missing security related registry entries and therefore have an unsecure installation. Use nLite and you'll be safe.
