Thanks for the fast response. I did a new installation with QUE-OGA-v1.9_addon.

Microsoft update still lists Office Genuine Advantage Notifications KB949810 as a high priority update.

That`s a first, MU listing OGA. This addon is for when you go to office update directly, MU has never offered OGA.

I`ll look into it.

I did a clean Windows XP install and then installed office 2007 before going to MU.

Right here`s how it is then, MS have discontinued support for office update which is what this addon is. Office updates are now provided through Microsoft Update exclusively, making this addon obsolete.

Office Genuine Advantage Notifications is simular to Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications and is not needed to download office updates. It only exists to check if you have a genuine copy of office and nag you if you haven`t.

Tomorrow I`ll retire this addon (no time left today) as it`s obsolete. Personally I have no desire for OGAN but for anyone who does I`ll make an addon.

I think we do need an OGAN addon. My objective is to have zero high priority updates listed on MU after a new installation. Without the OGAN addon, KB949810 will always be there. I use Benners Office Integrator to keep my Office disks up to date.

Since MS has made this change, their next logical step is to require OGAV to download office updates.

I had a quick look earlier at OGAN and it`s probably best suited to a switchless installer. Will get it made later anyway so don`t worry.

Well I hate to disappoint you PDL (and anyone else) but I won`t be making an addon for OGAN, it`s more complicated than expected and I can`t justify the time and effort needed for this optional update.

Should OGAV be required in the future I will make an addon for that though.

Thanks to everyone who used this addon, especially to those who showed appreciation. I hope you enjoyed using it as much as I enjoyed making it.
